Graphic Layout Designer

Position Summary: As a Graphic Layout Designer, you will join Al-Furqaan Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit Islamic organization based in Chicago, IL, bringing your talent and creativity to the forefront. This role requires a strong background in graphic design, with expertise in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, and experience in designing layouts for both print and digital media. You will play a key role in creating visually compelling materials that communicate our mission and values while ensuring all designs align with Islamic principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Layout: Develop high-quality designs for a wide range of materials including brochures, booklets, reports, banners, social media graphics, newsletters, and event materials, using Adobe InDesign for layout and composition, and Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for creative enhancements.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure that all visual materials are consistent with the organization’s brand identity, reflecting Islamic values and messaging.
  • Digital and Print Design: Create designs optimized for both print and digital platforms, including flyers, posters, email templates, and website graphics.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team, content creators, and other departments to ensure designs align with the overall communication strategy and project goals.
  • Creative Input: Bring fresh ideas and creative solutions to the table, continuously improving the visual presentation of the organization’s programs, events, and initiatives.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality work.
  • Adherence to Islamic Principles: Ensure that all designs and visual elements respect Islamic guidelines, particularly when it comes to imagery and messaging.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience and Proficiency with a strong portfolio showcasing layout designs created in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and layout for both print and digital media.
  • Experience working with non-profit organizations, particularly in the Islamic sector, is a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Head of Marketing & Communications

Position Summary: The Head of Marketing will lead the marketing efforts of Al-Furqaan Foundation (AFF), a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit Islamic organization based in Chicago, IL. This role requires extensive experience in key revenue-generating marketing areas, including Traditional Marketing, Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Content Marketing, Email Marketing, and Affiliate Marketing. The Head of Marketing will develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the foundation’s programs and initiatives while collaborating with partner organizations, ambassadors, and influencers. This individual will be a creative and strategic thinker with a deep understanding of our organizational values and the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Strategy Development: Lead the creation of a comprehensive marketing strategy that focuses on revenue generation through both digital and traditional channels.
  • Digital Marketing: Develop and manage online marketing campaigns, including SEM (Google Ads, PPC), and remarketing, to increase traffic, conversions, and donations.
  • Social Media Marketing: Oversee and optimize the organization’s presence on social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) to engage a wider audience and drive conversions.
  • Content Marketing: Guide the creation of relevant, valuable content that resonates with the target audience and supports fundraising and engagement goals.
  • Email Marketing: Design and implement targeted email marketing campaigns to nurture relationships with donors, volunteers, and supporters, focusing on driving donations and recurring revenue.
  • Affiliate Marketing: Develop and manage affiliate partnerships to expand outreach and drive revenue through mutual promotion efforts.
  • Revenue Generation: Focus on driving revenue by optimizing campaigns for donations and fundraising initiatives. Ensure the organization’s marketing efforts contribute to sustainable growth and increased financial support.
  • Performance Analysis: Regularly measure and analyze marketing campaign performance using KPIs such as engagement, conversion rates, and ROI. Optimize strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and campaigns deliver maximum ROI.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the marketing team, providing clear direction, feedback, and support to ensure high performance and continuous development.
  • Brand Management: Maintain and enhance the organization’s brand across all marketing channels, ensuring messaging is consistent with the mission and Islamic values of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing with a focus on both traditional and digital strategies.
  • Strong expertise in Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing (SEM, PPC), Content Marketing, Email Marketing, and Affiliate Marketing.
  • Proven ability to drive revenue and generate a high ROI from marketing campaigns.
  • Experience working in or with non-profit organizations, with knowledge of Islamic values.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and proficiency in marketing tools and analytics platforms (Google Analytics, AdWords, social media management tools, etc.).
  • Experience with fundraising campaigns and donor engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and donor management tools.
